Before starting a live broadcast, it’s important to check the broadcast to ensure that the camera is well-positioned, the video quality is good, and the audio is functioning properly.
- Begin by accessing your broadcast in the Solidsport Broadcaster app, or start the stream if you're using your own production tools. Do not click “Broadcast now” in the app.
- Use another device to navigate to Solidsport and your channel.
- Click on the livestream and select “View as admin” in the top right corner.
- Then, click “Stream now” at the bottom left. This will allow you to view the live signal even though the scheduled broadcast time has not yet started.
If you are using commentators for the game, take the opportunity to have them speak into the microphones and listen to ensure the audio is working correctly.
It’s a good idea to check the broadcast 60–30 minutes before the game starts to ensure everything is working properly. If the image appears blurry or choppy, you can adjust the quality in the Broadcaster app.
- Open the Broadcaster app.
- Click the three lines in the top right corner.
- Select "Quality".
If you have a very strong internet connection, you can select High for a sharper image. However, if the network connection isn’t great and the broadcast is lagging, choose Low instead. It’s a good idea to test this in advance to find the best setup for your venue.
